Sedimentation Tank Update
https://www.waterinnepal.org Find us on Facebook and Instagram! Page and Profile Name: Water in Nepal We are excited to announce that with the help of our donors and sponsors, we have taken our first steps from humanitarian aid for temporary relief to sustainable projects that will provide clean water for decades to come! Starting off with the largest project of the trip, WIN funded a 35ft by 12ft by 3ft sedimentation tank that will be serving over 250 households, 1250 people of the Patlychaap village community in Godawari. This tank is usable all year round, lasts over 80-100 years, and effectively filters the water sourced from a nearby pond at a rate capable of supplying the entire Patlychaap community with their daily drinking needs. The village has already spent weeks constructing the skeleton of the tank, laying the cement foundation, and they are now already making progress on its internal structure. With the unfaltering support and dedication of the community’s chair member, Harisaran, the skill of the main technicians of the village, Binod and Rambhakt Sylwal, and the hard work of the Patylchaap members hiking up and down the steep paths of the hill to transport materials for the tank, we are confident that the completion of this tank will occur in just a few more weeks.

American Ninja Warriors Fundraiser At ClubSport
http://www.waterinnepal.org Video Credit: Prasanna Pradhan WIN had an exciting fundraiser on Saturday 4/14/2018, hosted by ClubSport Fremont https://www.clubsports.com/fremont. It was an American Ninja Warrior Challenge class at the newly renovated health club. Thank you, Ms. Louise Williamson, Ms. Tiana Hicks, trainers, and other ClubSport staff for making this event not only successful but so much fun for all of us! The American Ninja Warriors obstacle course was physically challenging, but the trainers’ encouragement, positive energy, and set of upbeat music pushed us to the finish line! Our trainers gave us a “reward” for our hard work by ending the class with a few rounds of tug of war and dodgeball conducted by Ms. Hicks…a refreshing throwback to classic middle school P.E. times. We had over 30 people attend our event – thank you for your participation and your generous donations. Our sincere thanks to those who could not come but donated to WIN. We will use every penny raised on water-related supplies during our upcoming June 2018 trip.
Water In Nepal (WIN) June 2018 Trip
https://www.waterinnepal.org WIN (Water In Nepal) went to Kathmandu the 4th time from June 15 to 27, 2018. We helped a rural community of 600 residents restore its damaged water distribution system. Then we brought five schools with more 1000 students clean water for drinking and sanitation, with new water tanks and filters. It is our pleasure to present you a glimpse of the Nepalese daily lives and to show you the impacts WIN has made so far.
